Dr. Katerina Smyrniotis-Halkias did her undergraduate studies at Loyola University and continued with her dental training at Loyola School of Dentistry, graduating in 1993. During her time in dental school, she earned several academic and clinical awards in dentistry, namely induction into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honors Society, Academic Award for Oral Medicine and an award for clinical excellence.

She grew up immersed in Greek culture in Chicago and even lived in Columbus, OH for a short time. She currently lives in Glenview with her family.
